The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) runs June 14–17, 2026 at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta. Now in its 47th year, BANFF remains one of the world's premier gatherings for the screen industry - a marketplace and conference where creators, producers, showrunners, broadcasters and digital-first storytellers come together against the backdrop of the Canadian Rockies to share ideas, build relationships and shape what comes next.
Returning as a Silver Partner, Dept.9 Studios is also co-sponsoring two sessions on this year's program:
• Alberta Beyond Limits: Meet, Mingle, and Moving Forward - a networking moment built to connect Alberta's creative community with the wider festival, celebrate the province's growing role in global production, and open doors to new collaborations.
• The Future of Unscripted: Global, Social, Scalable - a panel exploring where unscripted content is heading: how formats travel across borders, how social platforms are reshaping the genre, and what it takes to build unscripted IP that scales.
